Natalie had a fantastic home, recently remodeled, with a sweet and sunny backyard. On a very busy street. I knew buyers would love it once they walked through the door, but there was no parking. Buyers would have to park a few blocks away and walk to this listing. I needed to make that happen. I was going to be all in the marketing — making the inside of the home so alluring online that people would be willing to surmount the outside hurdle.
I made sure that the home was photo-ready by using a stager that would make the photos pop. I did a 3D video tour so potential buyers could feel the awesome layout and backyard as much as possible. Then I just addressed the downside head-on in my advertising copy: “Open the front door and be amazed.”
It worked. Buyers did park and come through the front door. And they were in fact amazed. Several buyers walked in and actually said “They were right, I am amazed! Glad I came in. Buyers got it immediately. This was a special house in spite of the busy street. The interest level was so high that we took offers early. We got 23. Natalie’s high expectations were exceeded.
