How fast can you sell a house?

Mitch and April decided to buy their next home before they sold the current one so they would only need to move their young family once. But, this also meant once they moved into their new home, the pressure was on. They needed to sell quickly and for a certain price

The day after the moving trucks hauled their belongings away, I was there with my crew to get bids and make decisions. Paint color. Flooring choices. A garden plan. They focused on unpacking and I focused on prepping. I kept them informed but away from the stress of getting their home ready for sale. I took April by her home once the work was done and the staging was complete. She was overwhelmed with how beautiful it looked.

Right after the house went into contract, we discovered a gas leak around the stove connection. I called Mitch and April to inform them and explained my plan for handling it. The gas was turned off, the leak fixed, and PG&E came and turned it back on, all within 2 days — just in time for the appraiser’s visit.

It was a little more than 3 weeks from the time Mitch and April moved out until the time the house went up for sale on the market. When you know what you are doing, and have a great team, you can move fast and still do an amazing job. We got 17 offers and Mitch and April got more than they needed to make the numbers pencil.
